Talk21 has got to be the best online SMS provider around, just a short and simple sign up procedure to get through. I use this service myself and very rarely get a delayed or failed message. Talk21 also provides is users with a free web based e-mail account and a message minding service which alerts you once a new e-mail is received.

Genie has improved its services a lot recently, the service they provided used to be really slow but it is a bit quicker these days. Genie requires a code sent to your mobile before you can use the service. It also gives you an sms e-mail address, i.e e-mail on your mobile phone.

Breathe used to have a fairly decent SMS service, but its gone quite poor recently, probably been spending too much on advertising. There is an alright chat room on their page though, check it out.

This is a fairly new service, the company also offers lovemessenger and gamesmessenger. The service seemed alright apart from the advert at the end of all your text messages, which gets quite annoying. The Love Messenger seems a fun tool to try out!
